The midwifery team work with the doctors to care for mothers during and after pregnancy.

When your pregnancy has been confirmed by the GP please collect a pack from reception and complete the form enclosed with contact details (if happy for message to be left on answer phone please state) the midwife will contact you to book your first appointment, this is your booking appointment where everything will be discussed with you including your hospital of choice for delivery. The surgery holds parents to be classes please ask the midwife when these are.

Appointments are held at the surgery on a Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Community Nurses

Our Community Nursing Team aims to provide nursing care in the home environment, to advise the patient and family in matters of health, and to teach relatives and carers the most appropriate ways to care for patients between visits.

Health Visitors

The role of the Health Visiting Team is to prevent illness and to offer advice to promote healthy living to all children and families from late pregnancy until school entry. We work Monday to Friday.

Our direct telephone line is 01425 484313 with an answerphone when we are unavailable.

A child health clinic is held on the 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month.

We offer a physiotherapy clinic to which the Doctors may refer you.

We also have a private physiotherapist that works from the surgery for which staff can give you information on.

Podiatry (formally known as Chiropody)

A podiatry service is available for patients. Referral to this service is from the District Nurses, Health Visitors or Doctors.

A private service is also available.

Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN)

The CPNs give help and advice to those with mental health problems and to those who care for them.

Your Doctors will arrange referral to this service.
