Travel Vaccinationsglobal air travel

We are pleased to be able to re-start our Travel Clinic and are now able to offer both travel advice and vaccinations (including boosters). However, in the light of the Covid-19 outbreak we have re-launched this service as a telephone consultation based service. A small number of face-to-face vaccination appointments are available for travellers who have a trip booked in the next 6 months and for those patients requiring travel boosters. Prior to attending the surgery you will be given clear guidance on how to enter the surgery and our Covid-19 distancing and hygiene measures.

If you require a travel telephone consultation for a booked trip, you will be asked to complete and return a Travel Assessment Form prior to the telephone appointment. You can book a telephone consultation with the Reception team, and an appointment will be made for a specific day. The Travel Nurse will then telephone you during a 2-3 hour time slot during a morning or afternoon session.

You can return the completed and signed form to us via email to . You will need a scanner for this option as you will have to print, complete, sign and scan the form onto an email.

Alternatively you can return the form by posting it in the Practice letter box to the right of the Practice entrance. Please put into an envelope marked "Travel Forms".

If you just require advice because you are thinking of booking a trip, please visit the website for information on travelling and Covid-19 and for country specific advice on travel vaccinations that you may need. This website also has links to the Foreign office website to check Travel Restrictions in place for specific countries. Please note that this information is changing all the time, and before booking any trip, you are advised to check the Government websites for up to date general advice on travelling during the Covid-19 outbreak.

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
